Wedding in Florence is definitely a great choice where to crown the Big Day in Italy, also because Florence is considered the “city of love”. Moreover there are many places where to celebrate your special event , i.e. in the heart of the town as well as in the surroundings. Endless are the glimpses where it’s worth it to immortalize your happiness in several wedding pictures. Charlie and Sophia decided to have as background of their wedding a magnificent Tuscan Villa.
To tell your story through evocative photographic images, I suggest to begin the photo shoot tour from the panoramic Piazzale Michelangelo, the balcony overlooking the city of the “cradle of Renaissance ”. Also worth it to capture in your wedding photographs it’s the scenery offered by the majestic Romanesque basilica of San Miniato al Monte, standing atop one of the highest points in Florence. Here they were celebrated, from ancient times to the present days, many royal weddings coming from faraway. Having as background image the evocative old town, I will capture your love while you are looking each other into your eyes and then your infinite joy once you are coming down “hand in hand” from the antique staircase in your white bridal gown and floating wedding veil. The breathtaking backdrop of Piazzale Michelangelo creates really an unique atmosphere that enrich each single event: how much emotion I have captured in this magical place with my camera, during marriage proposals, pre wedding photoshoots or intimate dreamy elopement in Italy…… Driving along the scenic “Michelangelo avenue” we reach the river Arno, where stops are obliged in order to snap photos of you two …. having as background of your pictures the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge, with its historical jewelry stores, the Portico degli Uffizi, i.e. the covered courtyard outside the Uffizi Gallery, the Giotto’s Campanile, as well as, in the distance, the magnificent surrounding hills where stands the gracefully Etruscan village of Fiesole. Of course your photo album has to be completed with images stolen in the square of Piazza della Signoria, for me a “museum under the sky” embellished with an impressive collection of statuary. Also here are located both, the Loggia dei Lanzi, incredible place for unique and memorable top photos as well as the Palazzo Vecchio, historic building used mainly for offices of the city. In fact the Palazzo Vecchio is the town hall of Florence where it’s possible to crown your dream of getting married in Italy civilly and maybe organize your wedding reception in the magnificent “Salone dei Cinquecento”. Our wedding photo tour proceeds along Florence’s antique cobble streets to Piazza del Duomo, a treasure chest of unique architectural and art expressions such as city’s main cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, il Campanile di Giotto (Giotto’s bell tower ), the Baptistery of St. John (famous for its Michelangiolo’s “Golden Gate of Paradise”) and the Cupola of Brunelleschi. This unique artistic setting, where the white and green marble façade of the Cathedral is one of the most impressive features in Florence, certainly offers a wide range of photographic opportunities. As your personal wedding photographer I’m also happy to snap some funny shots of you during your stroll along the quaint square of the open market of Florence, with its colorful stalls, or while you are relaxing in one of the best Italian gelato shops perhaps accompanied by a good cappuccino.
Guys, any event that you want making eternal through the photography and whatever location you will choose, you can be sure that Florence offers many beautiful sceneries where it’s worthy to “hold the moment”. My goal is to take wedding pictures that allow you to relive the Big Day over and over in the future.
